Last Night I gave myself permission to give up on this one. I am only a smidge over halfway through. I am leaving town till nearly New Year's tomorrow morning and will have limited opportunity to shop while visiting my parents. Last Night I spent almost an hour trying to make iup a Wal mart pick up order to grab after work to finish off a chunk of it and I had trouble getting 12 offers. So I just decided I could live with not finishing it. I have too much else going on.
I suppose I should have seen this coming and spaced them earlier rather than evenly through the month. But I am so impressed by all of y'all wiping out early. Y'all GO ON!
@DanyelN I'm right there with ya! I'm watching my niece's son the next few days, he's napping so I jumped online for a few minutes to see what's going on. I tried making a WM p/u list this morning, but was really struggling. I had 8 for sure, with 6 maybe's. Thinking I could finish Candy Cane on Sunday if I had 5 or 6 left. But I'm just burnt out on the same repeat offers. Honestly if it weren't for the other bonuses throughout the month, I wouldn't even be sitting at 84/140 for Merry & Bright!
As of like Monday I didn't think I was going to get the 140 as I was at 110 but I found out kinda late I'm now cooking new years dinner so I needed to buy a few things and 110 became 123 yesterday and I just went and finished it off today (I hope, since I'm waiting on Food Lion offers which I said I don't do but I still have 2 days if I miss an offer)
Honestly didn't think I could do it and I'm already telling myself if there's a similar one in January I won't chase it
Woot Woot!! Just finished M&B bonus, and this trip with things my household will use or eat.
Oh yes, That is the way to do it. Usable items are the best,
Adopt me. All that looks like stuff I would use also.
Well done and congrats!!
At the start of December I just knew I wouldn’t/couldn’t complete my first ever colossal bonus challenge. I’ve done 140 offers in a month before but that was when offers were more plentiful and store shelves were well stocked.
Having said that, I did finish it today and wanted to share some details of how I did it.
Total shopping trips: 29 (vs 25 in November)
Walmart 8
Kroger 7
Target 6
Publix 4
CVS 3
Sam’s Club 1
My total cash back for the month was $314.37. That’s about $100 above my monthly average. Of that total, $94.25 was made from bonuses.
Since I joined in late March 2020 to November 2021, my average monthly bonus total was only $34, so only time will tell if December was a one-off.
@123Save KOO-WULL!! I've never made $300+ in a single month w/Ibotta, and I'm almost 3.5 years into it. my best was $220+ just this past October. I've already made $201+ with a day & a quarter or fifth left, so if God willing & the creek don't rise I drop the 🔨 on Merry & Bright I'll whup my last record
congrats
I really should have known better than to try to finish such a large bonus up at Food Lion yesterday. With all the issues I've had between ibotts and food Lions with the redemption linked to their mvp card, of course I wouldn't get credit for the last trip to put over 140 offers
Uhh
Rick to realtor: Yes I am looking for a house.
