I've been with Ibotta since November I kept recieving emails so I decided to give them a try so then I seen you get them dollars for referral I then referred my uncle and my cousin just to see if they really cash out , I then tried to cash out to my PayPal it gave me an error message so I tried my bank and gift cards its saying oops were looking into it , I believe it's a scam I contacted support and they emailed me back saying that I was referring myself now , how can I do that ? Why would I do that I have a big family and they shop they shop they spend money they like making money, what happened was when I told my uncle and cousin to sign up they were at my house visiting from out of town, and I just told them about it , and when I read to them what the support people told me and how they said their not reactivating my account at the moment that instantly said no it's a scam, nobody uses my y phone but me I sent them a link they signed up , I have wifi so maybe it seem as if we were on the same network because we kinda was everybody hooks up to my wifi so for you guys not to let me even get a chance to cash out like Ive heard that you guys do cash out instantly is messed up I was just referring family and trying to buy my son some food and milk you guys are so unprofessional I wish you guys would of just asked instead of assuming .that I was referring myself
If you are ever able to get an account again in the future, maybe after your 13th birthday, the pro tip is to apply your banked funds to a Gift Card purchase. It raises a red flag if you get quick referral bonus money and then request a Withdrawal immediately. If you Purchase a gift card, (not withdraw to a gift card) there should no issues.
Also, you should redeem a few ibotta offers before trying to cash out, instead of just making $20 in referrals. You also should have waited a week after reaching $20 in earnings before trying to cash out.
Also, if you do get your account reactivated again. make sure you don't log onto your account on another user's linked device. Similarly. If you refer someone, don't let them log in on your mobile.
Keep working the ticket to see if you can get your account back, but they don't take deactivation lightly, so it will ne an uphill battle. Best of luck.
