I just got a "fix" from the Care Team for a receipt I submitted that languished in pending. Store was Market Street, items were any eggs and Kemp's frozen yogurt. I followed the rules: made sure the item was in this store's gallery and I had checked it off. While at the freezer section, I checked Ibotta for a match for the product. All was good. I bought it, an 18 ct pkg of eggs and a store brand of ice cream sandwiches. I submitted for the frozen yogurt and the any eggs auto loaded for a total of $1.10. The receipt got stuck in pending h*** so I put in a problem report to complete the submission. The Care Team didn't push it through though, they pushed for the any eggs only then added $1 to my acct for the frozen yogurt, as an appeasement but no bonus credit. I wouldn't be upset if the most recent bonuses weren't for 40+ offers! I'm usually pretty agreeable and I assume it's not the Care Team but a programming issue. I did respond to the "problem solved" email with pics of the receipt and item/barcode, indicating I didn't consider it solved. If it's an issue with the store's way receipts are printed, then I would want to let the store know-- maybe they aren't using enough ink.
I'm not the only Ibotta user that has had this happen to, am I? If you've had to buy more items to complete a bonus because of this kind of glitch, add to this stream. Maybe it's not common or maybe it's more common than it should be.
It is my understanding that Ibotta Care does not have the capability to update bonus counts. In emails from them, they have said this and said if I get close to a bonus to let them know and they will credit the Bonus amount.
It is increasingly harder to make the bonuses, but when the app won't give us credit and Ibotta Care can't, it is even harder.
Hopefully, Ibotta is working on a solution.
This is a frustrating situation the issue. On 06/04/2021 I shopped at Walmart this morning. I scanned 3 Butterball products and each revealed a matching rebate. (Turkey sausage links, turkey sausage patties, and turkey bacon).
Since all 3 products scanned and revealed matching offers I was under the impression I would receive the following rebates
In addition I thought these items would satisfy the conditions for the Butterball EMB. Well to my dismay it didn't.
What I received was a rebate for 1 pk of bacon and 1 pk of sausage. The Butterball EMB only shows 1 creditable item or 33% complete when at a minimum it should be at 66%..
I could submit a ticket, but I will not because I'll show the items purchased and I'll receive the missing rebate and bonus. The rebate will remain at 33% and if I purchase additional Butterball products then the system will award EMB and I don't belive its worth going back and forth trying to explain...
The screen shots are of the EMB status and the matching products I received rebates for submitted on receipt. The missing credit will put me 1 item closer to completing the July bonus... what should I do.
This receipt was automatically added when I used Walmart pay. I have not tried to manually enter receipt to see if I would receive the credit for the missing sausage...
So I'll just wait until the offer regenerate and buy when the MWMM is released... and hopefully I'll receive the credit then...I hope..
@mmoore01 , you're right, they aren't able to add to bonuses ordinarily. But if they push a pending to get completed, it should work as expected. I had a stuck receipt awhile ago and it was unstuck by a Care Team member and it was as if went through automatically. This one didn't. Odd that the any eggs was accepted but the other not. I believe it's a programming bug which is not within the realm of customer service. Their recourse is to report recurring issues to the team that can address it. Mostly I was venting...
I was at Market Street again today and my receipt went through, no problem. I have 4 days to get 24 more offers for my July fireworks bonus. This is going to take some focus and determination.
@TXbelle I have another week to complete the July fireworks bonus. Does yours end on a different date?
@mmoore01 The Butterball bonus didn’t work for me the previous time if was offered.
@cjwoody , you're right, I got it in my head it expired on the 8th, but I checked this morning and I have til the 12th. I have a $3 bonus that expires on the 8th but it just needs 12 offers. After a good night's sleep, I'm back in the game. Today I head to Target and Kroger. Hope to see a MWMM to stack.
@LaraL my problem has gotten bigger now! I just got a notification from Rachel in the Care Team. All I was upset about was losing 1 offer from my bonuses, not the whole bonus. But she just gave me the $10 and the $0.50 as if I completed the July fireworks and the level 1 July bonuses. I'm worried that I will get kicked off Ibotta. No ooooooooo! Ibotta is my retirement hobby! Both of those 2 bonuses are still in my app! Do I make the effort NOT to try for either one now? I'm afraid to email Rachel any more as I don't want to mess things up worse. I suggested in the earlier email to her that there is a glitch that the app programmers could address, not to get more money. I'm sorry I ever complained.
Please, do I need to do anything to fix this or am I ok as is?
That was my same problem last week the Care Team issue full credit for rebates or bonuses and the bonus is still active in my gallery. Then what happens when additional products are redeemed and the bonus is credited a second time... see the post I wrote last week The resolution causes a conflict
@TXbelle I’ve seen Lara respond to other posts like this. She says you will not be penalized for these types of care issues, when the mistake is made on their end. You did everything in good faith to get your issue resolved. They will not kick you off Ibotta for this.
