Hello Everyone!
Apparently I am a year & a half late...*ahem* - 'Fashionably' Late, to the conversation 😂
🤷♀️Better late than never right?
Anywho, my name is Katie, & I am from, "The City of Destiny," Washington (aka 'Tacoma', WA); Well, technically speaking, I am from Parkland, WA. Parkland, WA is a small suburb of Tacoma.
I've resided in the Tacoma-Parklamd area my entire life (30 years & counting), & I do not plan to move to another neighboring city &/or state anytime soon.

I am new to Ibotta. Hi everyone. How do I scan receipts?
It depends on which stores you shop.
Some stores are set up to use their loyalty cards only. You must link your Ibotta account to your loyalty card. If you don't, you will not get credit.
Some stores, like Walmart, allow you to scan the bar code at the bottom of the receipt or you can link your Ibotta account to your Walmart app and use Walmart Pay.
For some stores, your only option is to select Submit on the store screen or find your store on the Redeem page.
Many users prefer to scan their receipts. Scanning requires a little more time, but can easily allow for corrections or missing offers
The latest version of the app has skipped the correction phase for some stores. Hopefully, Ibotta will see the error of their ways and return to the old process.
If you tell us where you shop, we can tell you how to submit your receipt.
Hi, hope you are enjoying Central Florida. I am new to Ibotta. So not really sure what I an doing. So far I haven't received any prizes, money, rewards from ibotta, but I don't go out shopping just to complete a bonus. I just do my regular weekly shopping. So not sure if Ibotta is the right app for me.
@Mgachot That’s hard to say. If you’re looking for occasional discounts on items you purchase all the time then Ibotta will work for that. If you’re looking for big savings on that same short list - that’s not really how this works. I find people who are open to trying new brands and different products usually save the most because there are often a handful of items that you can get for free at several stores at any given time. Most users also use multiple apps to stack their savings and create deals that make products free or close to free. But if you’re new to rebating I would recommend you add on programs slowly to avoid burnout.
Hope this was helpful and welcome to the boards.
