@Tikiki  I’ve only been to Munich but LOVED it! Aldi is even more awesome in its birthplace - I’d love to see the ‘bread machine’ (not sure its correct name) here, too.  
Aside from excellent chocolates and beers you mentioned, I also enjoyed their finger sausages, pretzel breads, wine (especially riesling), schnitzels and much, much more!!!

I actually found the recipe for those and made them from scratch awhile back. They were so good, although rolling out the dough just before folding it was a serious chore.
