Buy & pay with a Gift Card through Ibotta for a retailer to use to buy a gift card at the retailer?

I've always purchased gift cards through Ibotta for purchases I've made to Walmart, Lowe's, etc.

However, I wanted to get a gift card for Games Stop through Ibotta so I can use it to buy a physical gift card at GameStop for my teenage cousin.

Can this be done?

Most retailers will not let you buy a gift card with a gift card. I suggest you ask game stop first. If you're buying it as a gift you can click the this is a gift option after you hit review and it will give you options to send it as an email or text to the person you want and they can use it that way or print it out and use that.
