extension errors

Helllo, for the last few weeks i have had an issue with the browser extension. It automatically logged me out and i can not get it to log back in. when i click login, it sends me to the site to confirm my account. I have done this numerous times however i still am not able to login into the browser extension without repeating the process again. Anyone know what i can do to use the extension, getting very frusterating.

It may have to do with your device.  When you log in, the system keeps track of where you are logged in.  This can include your wifi, IP address or your cell phone.

If you stay on the same device and don't reset your wifi system or move around with your cell phone, the system knows who you are and keeps you logged in.  If anything changes, you must get a verification code via email or text to log in.

I know it is a pain, but every system is going to this to make sure you are you.  I am sure you wouldn't be happy if one day you signed in and found all your Ibotta money is gone.  I am surprised this hasn't been added to all the apps out there, but it still might.

Same for me too. It's crazy that I keep logging in for me to use on Walmart's site but when I go back to the Walmart page, it still says "login" as if I haven't. I've tried over and over again, each time getting a different code sent to my phone via text. I've uninstalled the extension and installed. Only when I just thought to press "inspect" on settings did I see errors at the top. Once opened, it said error 404 twice saying it couldn't connect to the page. Hopefully, there's a fix for this because the whole point was for me to order a pickup since I have medical issues and can't stand/walk long.

I am having this issue now and was using Chrome so I switched over to Firefox, added extension and it stays logged in. But Firefox is really slow. I might add everything I need to cart through Chrome then check out Firefox to get the ibotta to stay logged in.

If I go to the Ibotta site it wants me to log in and do the security email thing every time.  However, I have found that if I go to the Wal Mart site on the same browser the Ibotta Extension pops up like it is supposed to.  I can click from the pop up window to look at all offers for WM and can get here from there as well.

Great idea but it's a shame we have to pretty much play double-dutch just to make sure we get credit. I've just been clicking offers on my phone for other stores and when on my computer I can just operate as usual doing pickup orders or planning shopping trips then just snap my receipt after. This extension only comes in handy for Walmart and even then sometimes Ibotta will question the validity of the order. The great thing is if whatever works I say, do what we've gotta do to make it work since apparently the extension can be a little shady.
