Help, I am so confused

gadixie

I am new to Ibotta. I have the chrome Ibotta so when shopping on my home computer. I did the thanksgiving and purchased a few other items. I received an email stating I had a little over $25 but for the life of me, I cannot find where to look at my account. I go on the website and checked settings and nothing there. I cannot even find where it shows I have any money.  I looked in the help menu to set up withdraw to checking but I cannot find where to go as all that is in my tab is my name.

On the mobile app, at the bottom click account. It will direct you to a screen where you can withdrawal your funds, in various ways, once you have over $20.

I am new too, but I THINK you have to have the mobile app to cash out and look at earning. That is where I see mine. I have to say that ibotta is not the most user friendly in set up if you are not super savvy with apps.

Ok, I hate phone apps so I may just download to get the money back that I spent and close the account then. I do most of my shopping on my computer.

Right I'm getting ready to cash out and fine a different app to help me save money because this one is not user friendly.

I agree it is not user friendly to the people that don`t shop with a phone.  I do all my shopping on a computer and so far can`t figure out how to use Ibotta.

I do all my ibotta shopping in-store and scan each receipt manually. That is what works for me.

I use other grocery apps, too, which are far easier than ibotta. However, ibotta is definitely most lucrative (albeit not intuitive).

Clearly the phone app of ibotta is for people who are willing to "go the extra mile" to get get extra cashback. Yes, it can be time-consuming, but some people (such as myself) enjoy the challenge/puzzle of matching offers to maximize our earnings/rebates.

I agree, that if someone does not have that perspective, it would be a drag....and end up wasting precious time without saving another dime.

I think the view of Ibotta is different for different people.

For me, I see it as a Rebate app, not a shopping app.

The rebates are broken down by store and then by category.  If you are interested in one of the rebates, select it.  Then go to the store.  Once you purchase the item, you can get your rebate by submitting your receipt.

Compare this to the old style mail-in rebate, it is the same, except you don't have to mail it in.  You get your money in hours or days instead of weeks or months.  And, of course, there are a lot more rebates to choose from.

Others may use Ibotta to get discounts for Online purchases.  There are MANY apps that do this.  Most of my purchases are for groceries in-store and Ibotta is perfect for in-store purchases.
