Im trying to get my account unlocked does anyone know the quickest way to do this? I submitted a ticket 3 days ago with no responce as of yet. I had successfully linked my paypal to ibotta. But when i went to cash out it told me my account was locked. Earlier i had entered the wrong password a few times and it told me it had locked my account, but when i entered the right password and logged in i thought all was fine, BECAUSE IT LET ME IN. And that's when i continued to personalize my account, linked it to my paypal, and google and facebook. But then when i was done personalizing my new ibotta account, i was done for the night so i tried to cash out my earnings . It asked me how much?, I typed 25.00 (there was 26.50 earnings available) And then it asked paypal or new bank (or whatever the other option is) I clicked on paypal. Then it popped up telling me that my account was locked and to contact support. But what i dont understand, Is that in the past say with a credit card account online or a social media account or email account ,...when your account is locked ... Its LOCKED, until you get it straightened out with customer care or whatever dept.... But with my ibotta... I can still earn more kickbacks, i can still redeem receipts, I xan do EVERYTHING ELSE BESIDES ACCESS MY CASH.... can anyone tell me how to remedy this ?? How to get my account to allow me to cash out. Im pretty frustrated as i am new to ibotta and was really likeing the way their program works...it seemed pretty straightforward and worth the few extra steps to save some money and/or earn some money back.... Up until this bump in the road which for me is a major one... Especially when theres no "real" way to directly contact them. FRUSTRATED
Unfortunately, you will need to talk with customer support. Most of us here are users like you.
It does take three to four days for them to respond.

1) This is not a good look for ibotta when people have their money held hostage for weeks or longer and no way to get to speak to someone. Some users have made innocent mistakes, spent hundreds or thousands of $$$, and countless hours looking for deals, only to have nothing to show for it while their funds are locked.
2) I think this is important enough, that it should be one of the first tabs you try to implement if you ad additional things under DEALS FORUM or on the same level. I am not sure how many of these you have, but it would seem that perhaps the higherups could realize how bad of a look this is, and offer up some resources from your 'workers' to prioritize these situations. I, for one, would rather my open ticket for being shorted be delayed a day or even two longer if it meant someone was able to get serviced that had their account locked. Especially now during COVID where some areas and industries are still hit hard with unemployment. That money may have helped feed a family.
3) I realize there are many reasons accounts get locked, and of course that is your right, and even your responsibility to do that. I am sure there are many reasons I have not even thought of. But like everything else, you have to have a system that protects the innocent. It would help if there was even one person they could message directly to work out those issues.

It’s me again…ticket #9996611. You escalated my ticket but I received an auto response. I replied to the auto response and received another auto response.
I would really like to know what I did wrong. I don’t want to continue doing it if I’m not suppose to. I’ve read the terms and I see nothing that I did wrong.

Good luck i opened one 3 to 4 days sgo got a reply said my accounts good i can cashout now go to cashout and they locked my accagsin or lied about unlocking it then gotvanother email 15 minutes later saying i due to updates to there security i gotta wait a few more days 🤣 its a joke ur better getting ur money from coinout or fetch to be honest i get my money from both wothin a day or two of cashing out
What about receiving a email that ur accounts unlocked then 15 later one saying they updated there security and now i gotta wait more days that dont make sense i got a sick brother fighting cancer and sll i wanna do is cahsout and send the money to my mom for food at the hospital
