I recently went to redeem a receipt that has you link your loyalty card. So I'm wondering how I can scan my receipt and do i have to have the card linked? My mom does most of the grocery shopping and bless her sweet heart she hasn't a clue how to use a smart phone, she doesn't even text so I can't send my phone with her.?please help this is the store we shop at 98% of the time and I know I'm really missing out on a ton of offers!   PLEASE HELP!! TIA

If your grocery store is link only, then you must link your Ibotta account to the loyalty card.

Be sure to select the rebates in the app before shopping.

Each time you shop, you must use the loyalty card to get credit.  The store will send to Ibotta what was purchased and match it to rebates in the app.

It can take several days, depending on the store, to get credit. If you don't see your credit within a week and know you bought the right item and quantity, you will need to open a request to get credit.

I've never had ibotta experience at a store where loyalty-card linking is required. Could you give me some examples? Thank you!

If you go into the store through ibotta at the top it will tell you what you need to do to redeem. Either upload receipt, link card/account or both if it's both you need to pick one. If it's link you need to link 1st click it and follow the prompts to link once linked you need to click on the offers you are going to buy then buy them normal credit for linked it up to 48 hours but people have stated 3-5 days sometimes longer. If it's upload you click on what you want to buy 1st then go buy it then scan the receipt and follow the prompte to scan barcodes and put it through. This credit is instant to up to a day.

@Dana

I just looked at Meijer and it says you can Upload a Receipt OR Link Meijer account.  Please note I just downloaded the latest version of the Ibotta app.  I don't shop at Meijer (any more), but maybe they updated this store?

I don't have a grocery store around me that is ONLY Loyalty Card.  But I compare this to linking your account to Walmart or Target, which I have done.

When I was in Sacramento, CA, I sometimes shopped at Bel-Air.  This store is Loyalty Card only.  Raley's, which owns Bel-Air, is Loyalty Card only, too.  I had trouble on a couple of Ibotta items, so I did most of my shopping at Safeway.  Personally, I thought Safeway was closer to Publix in the Southeast.  They can be expensive unless you shop the sales.
