Scan receipts or items?

I am new to ibotta.  I tried to scan two different store receipts Walmart and Sprouts.  Neither worked.  Do I have to scan each item while shopping?  I thought I could scan the receipts once all done.

Welcome along!

Are you remembering to add the items to your lists before scanning the receipts?

While you don't have to scan everything in the app while shopping, it is a decent tactic, to make sure that you have their related offers attached to your list, especially if you pick up something you might not have originally planned to grab.

 I hope this helps. 🙂

Without knowing the specifics of what is happening when you try to process things, it's hard to suggest something to help.

Is the receipt for the active week when you're submitting? Ibotta will ask you this when you're ready to add a receipt.

Did you purchase the correct items? Some items are gated by size in addition to brand. Eg: a 7 ounce box of Ritz crackers might be okay, but a 5 ounce box does not qualify..

Is the store you're shopping at scanless? Some stores (I hear Hannaford is one of them) requires that you link your shopper card and won't let you photograph your receipt. You have to look at that store in the app to see.

I hope one of these might help.

@Shawnabagnall

You really did not give us anything to go on.   "It still won't work" doesn't tell us much.

There are so many parts.

What store?

Are you linked or unlinked.?

Are you using the app or the chrome extension?

Did you redeem anything?

Did you get any money back?

Please tell us exactly what you did and what happened.
