Dove Body Love Cleanser $3.00 - I was going to stack this with Kroger Buy $15 save $5 deal
Silk Nextmilk $2.00 - I was going to stack this with Target Circle offers
I get that deals may end early depending on how many people redeem, but it's disappointing to see some deals suddenly end while I am asleep.
I live in the west coast, so I guess people in the east coast can redeem deals earlier 😂
@ct The other day, an offer for a product I went to the store to purchase expired before I even found it on the shelf. I was definitely disappointed, so I know how you feel.
About your last statement, however, I believe offers, bonuses, etc show up and expire simultaneously for all of us, no matter where we live. What's different, then, is the time that's stated on the offer or bonus. For example, if you're on the west coast (like me!) and a bonus says it will expire at 10:59pm on 10/01/22, a user on the east coast will see that same bonus with an expiration of 1:59am on 10/02/22. So, while east coasters will get offers at the same exact moment we do, it's actually 3 hours later (not earlier) in the day for them... Now, whether there's an advantage or not really depends on the hours a specific user keeps, not solely on where they live.
I had a similar experience on Friday where two offers scanned in the store and expired before I made it home to scan my receipt. Each offer has a limit on how many redemptions it can have so when that hits the offer goes away no matter what the time limit said. It sucks but I guess it is an impetus for us to get to the store sooner on some of those hot deals.
Always check Your List. It could still be there even though you scanned the UPC and didn't find it.
Happens often for me. I do agree that checking your list after offer has initially disappeared before giving up….I have found several missing offers there. I do screenshot just in case it’s missing when I submit my receipt.
So there is another list you can check other than just the offers that show when selecting a store? Where do you find it?
In the app, pull up any store. In the bottom right corner, there is a teal circle with three lines and three dots. There is also a number. This is called Your List and it contains all the offers you have selected.
It's the worst when you get the item and it expires on you. I now scan products before purchase to make sure expiration is not to soon and then scan in the receipts right after the purchase. This will likely guarantee it will not expire on you. Every min counts. I think by scanning before it might stick for the duration aka extends it from disappearing in blink of eye.
My theory is they start making offers disappear in a certain order. If you didn't clip it at all it will disappear for you first. Then For those that clip the you scan at some point in time your expiration will be later or the less likely to cut you off without warning. Then when it's down to last time it will determine based on if you scan product or not aka less then 1/2 hour till over. This is based on observation so the veterans experts may know better. I miss most by time I get off work and it seems a 5 hour remaining time disappears in 1/2 hour if it's popular because I never scan the product at any point in time.
Key takeaway:. Check before purchase if offer expired and scan receipt immediately after purchase because at that time it is subject to disappearing any moment especially super popular ones. I have seen some offers that from appearing to disappearing in a matter of a few hours. These are ones that people don't even know about because it only appeared on ibotta for a few hours.
@dramaspoiler it's the first time it ever happened to me, I scanned in store and neither item had a clock warning on it. I scanned one at CVS, checked out there, went to Publix and scanned everything there. I get home and put away my groceries then sit down to scan and one offer from each store was gone. It was under an hour between my leaving CVS and scanning receipts so it can happen on popular offers with absolutely no warning.
When they did not auto match I went hunting them and even tried scanning the items so they were completely GONE at that point.
@DanyelN it's horrible when that happens. You are right about offers that can disappear without warning. It probably the system catches up/ tons of people scan their receipt around a particular time. With more folks using the app I just now scan the receipt immediately after purchase. I did recall now that I think back an offer when I scan at store had 3+ hours remaining? And when I exited the check scan the offer just disappeared. The time is always around 6/7? which I assume when people get off work and buy/scan their receipts in. I should have known better when it was popular item that had potential for profit. These the ones where in a few hours your offer time is reduced by days.
