Now is a good time to buy Crest Whitestrips from Walgreens by stacking online sale prices, digital coupons, a discount code, WC earned, a WC booster, and a MFR rebate. There are a handful of different Whitestrip options, so I'll highlight the product I chose, though I have a feeling there could be a sweeter deal out there if put together properly.
2 x Crest 3D Whitestrips Supreme FlexFit: $69.99 on sale for $54.99 online = $109.98
2 x Tom's Children's Toothpaste: $4.79 online = $9.58 (purchased as a filler, choose your own adventure)
Order Summary
Item subtotal $119.56
Promo code (-$19.51)
Sales tax $6.50
MFR DQ (-$22.00)
Order total $84.55 OOP
Receive
$30.00 WC WYS $100.00 booster [$119.56 - $19.51 = $100.05]
$20.00 WC WYB 2 Crest Whitestrips
$15.00 P&G rebate WYS $50.00 on Crest
$5.00 WC WYB 2 Tom's Toothpaste
$2.00 Ibotta for 2 Tom's Toothpaste
Net = $12.55 OOP after tax*
Promo code = AUGUST20 to save 20% WYS $60.00
MFR DQ's = $20.00 off Crest Whitestrips, $2.00 off Tom's Toothpaste
*Walgreens estimates an additional $10 WC earned, but I can't figure out what it's for, so I am not listing it here. I won't know the final outcome until the items arrive and once the WC hits my account. I had to order for shipping because I couldn't find a nearby store that had 2 Crest items in stock.
Update... I received a total of $66.00 WC, which brought my net OOP to $1.55 after tax or (-$4.95mm) before tax.
WC Earned
$30 WYS $100
$20 WYB 2 Crest Whitestrips
$10 ???
$5 WYB 2 Tom's Toothpaste
$1 incremental 1% of purchase
I'm still not sure why I received an extra $10.00 in WC. There was a recent update to their app, and I can no longer view the point summary breakdown details. Hopefully they bring back that feature in a future app update.
@cjwoody so you have your Walgreens account linked?? I was wondering how this worked when you ordered online. I get stuff from Walgreens online, but I don't have my account linked because I prefer to scan my receipt when I shop in store. I have ordered through ibotta and got the 1% or whatever it is.
I was always curious how u can redeem by shopping the regular site....especially when you only get an invoice instead of a receipt...
....is it a simple process??
....does walmart work this way too??
@MeLMeL11 No, I am not linked with any store account. I placed one order, but I marked the Tom’s Toothpaste for pickup in-store and the Crest Whitestrips for shipping. That allowed me to submit Tom’s to Ibotta with an in-store receipt. I guess if I went through the Ibotta extension and did the whole transaction for shipment, then I would’ve earned 5% on the net total, which would’ve been about $4.22 earned instead of just the $2.00 received for Tom’s. Something to consider for future deals.
@cjwoody I did your deal...thanks for sharing, just now getting around to posting....
SALE PRICE 29.99 x 4 = 119.96
119.96 - 29.99 (online promo code i found)= 89.97
89.97 (paid online)
89.97 - 74.45 (Walgreens cash rewards) =15.52
Or $3.88 per box!! 🎉
......and yes!, for me W-cash counts like a gift card or "cash back " because I do shop there all the time and I'm not going to let them expire a year from now....so FOR ME.....THIS IS A WIN!! 🕺😎
Originally priced 33.99, on sale for 29.99....down to 3.88.....I'll take it!
And there is a 15.00 P&G rebate I'm going to submit....not sure if it will work...but if it does then they are basically FREE!.... MY FAVORITE PRICE🤩
Thanks again for sharing the deal @cjwoody
@MeLMeL11 Nicely done! I just got around to submitting for my $15 rebate yesterday. You have to key in the price after coupons/discounts. It should be the “return price” that Walgreens shows for the items on their receipts. Rebate should come to us in the form of a Visa gift card. 🥳
....yup, 6 to 8 loooooooooong weeks from now ...but hey....we earned it! 👍😎 Hopefully it comes sooner. I was sorta shocked it wasn't a digital card.
I noticed that your Promo Code discount was $19.51, but you later say that Promo Code AUGUST20 gives you 20% off. $19.51 is only 10% off. If this is correct, I would contact Walgreens and tell them you didn't get the additional $19.51 that you should have gotten. I had something like this happen before and Walgreens Customer Support fixed it.
@mmoore01 🔎 Good eye! I don’t recall the specifics of the terms, but it was probably 20% after MFR coupons. That’s what I was able to back into just now… $119.56 - $22.00 DQ’s = $97.56… then $97.56 x 20% = $19.51
@MeLMeL11 I checked my mail yesterday, and it included my Crest rebate in the form of a $15 Visa gift card. Could’ve been in the mailbox for a few days I suppose. BOLO for yours if you ended up submitting around the same time as me. It arrived a lot sooner than I anticipated.
