Im probably doing this all wrong lol

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, but I'm brand new to ibotta and I'm a little lost. I went and did a small haul at Walgreens today and had all my savings clipped on ibotta already. I didn't realize my Walgreens number was set up to be paperless, so no receipt >.< I cannot for the life of me figure out how to link my Walgreens info to ibotta. Google says there's a place to click on the top of the screen to link it but I don't have it. Is it an android thing? I linked target and Walmart no problem. I can't figure it out and I feel like I've looked everywhere to figure it out. Any help would be super appreciated♡

Walgreens is scan only no linking. you need to go into your walgreens account and take off digital receipts so you can get a paper receipt to scan or when you checkout ask the cashier for a receipt before he/she/they starts. If you go into the stores you shop at at the top you will see what's you need to do to redeem. It will say upload receipt or link card/account or both if both you need to pick 1.

Even if it is a store where you have a paper receipt and the account can be linked, like Target, SAVE THE RECEIPT until after you have been credited. Target for some reason always misses some of my rebates and I have to submit a ticket

I think you just put your phone number in on the member id.

Can’t you retrieve your receipt from your email like I have and minimize it and screenshot it?

Hi megan, I would like to lend a helping hand to you. Am excited to start a new journey of helping thousands of great frugal saving minded people and came across your post/question and wanted to share some help for you. If I'm not mistaken all you need to do is upload a valid receipt of your recent purchase at walgreens and whatever you clipped you will have be able to claim on your ibotta account just make its clipped in your ibotta account not your walgreens app. Thats two seperate scenarios. But still able to achieve dual cash back. Which is something I am going to teach would love to have you in the community if your interested.  Please let me know how it turns out I have many great ideas for you to help you with your future in the savings and taking advantage of future savings.

Best,

Francis

It says in the terms it must be a paper receipt,  so I was hoping there was an option to link my Walgreens account to my ibotta, that way it automatically gets my receipt. Lesson learned,  gonna go re buy all the stuff I got yesterday and do it right today lol

I cannot link my account either. I would look into the forms on the app for reporting issues. I just don't shop there enough to care.

This happened to me on my first Walgreens run as well. I have to submit paper receipts to Walgreens (it’s not a linkage account). I lost out on my first Ibotta haul because my Walgreens account was set to digital receipts.  Turn that off in your Walgreens settings before your next purchase. Sorry I don’t have better advice.

you could return the items but you would lose any digital/printed coupons you used.
