Or is paying the conventional way.with the physical card and paper receipt better? In terms of savings of course.
@ManchVegas @FelskyNY @Rickibotta I'm wondering if you can use online receipts displayed to scan to Ibotta. On Walmart.com and the Walmart app, it's possible to display the TC# through Purchase History Details. On the Walmart app, a receipt can be displayed. Is it possible to use those TC#s displayed since Ibotta only needs that to submit your purchase?
When shopping at Walmart I like the convenience of linking my Walmart pay with Ibotta. That is my personal preference. However sometimes all the items i purchase are not credited and I have the manually enter the receipt.
I prefer paying at the register and getting a paper receipt so that I can scan it soon after. This way offers are credited faster. I like the quick cha-ching.
It's definitely more convenient. But I think it needs to be used judiciously. For example, I lost out on 4 bucks because I used Walmart pay in the Ibotta app. I bought 2 items. I should have received 4 bucks back. But the item had a coupon around the neck of the bottle. Which totalled 4 bucks. According to the rules you can't combine. But that wouldn't have been known had I done the old fashioned paper receipt method.
I think it also maximizes your savings....
You can use either it's up to you. If you want a paper receipt using walmart pay pay with a penny or a small amount first then use walmart pay and you'll get a receipt
@ManchVegas I use Gift Cards in the ibotta app, formerly Pay with Ibotta. You can either use your Ibotta earnings or have it come off your linked Debit Card. You earn .5 % (which is pennies) but it also counts toward the bonuses, and I love the fact that I don't have to go out of pocket.
Minimum is $20 though, but I rarely have a hard time spending $20 at Walmart.
The minimum for Walmart GC is $10 on my account.
@Be-Bop-A-Lula Look at that - minimum is $10 hmmm - I thought it was $20
I am with Dean on this one. Linking is the de-vil!!
Plus with WM, you literally just scan the receipt bar code.
In fact, I only have to scan the receipt for Meijer and Kroger as well.
I don't ever have to scan item bar codes at any of those stores.
I forget if I do with Target, but I don't think I scan items there either.
(But I guess you benefit by using PWI; I have never used it though)
