Account locked from withdrawing funds

Hi all,

My account is locked from withdrawing funds. Everything else is working just fine, except withdrawing my cash. I submitted a help ticket 4 days ago (I know they're running behind) but I have ceased using the Ibotta app until I can be sure I'm going to my money out of it 😞 Has anyone else had this problem and how long did it take to fix??

People get locked for many reasons, an audit, they think you did something fraudulent, you made multiple purchases back to back, you tried to take out a large sum at once, you tried to take out money as soon as you got it, etc. Tickets can take up to a week or more since people put in tickets for every little thing so it can be awhile.

Thanks, Dana. I haven't done anything fraudulent. I didn't try to take out a large sum (the total is $29.27). I did try to withdraw money right after the last amount posted, but is that a reason to lock my account? If they cleared the funds for distribution to me, I'm not allowed to immediately withdraw? I hope that's not a reason because that makes no sense!

Same thing happened to me. I been waiting since 12/10 😩.

I had a problem withdrawing my funds for the first time so I sent them to PayPal and then I sent it to my bank

Thanks Johnnie. Did you try to withdraw it to your bank account first, get the account locked error, and then try to withdraw to your PayPal account? I don't have a PayPal account so I haven't tried that. I just assumed if my account was locked from withdrawing, it was locked from withdrawing.

I have not encountered any issues withdrawing my funds.  Over Christmas I withdrew my funds in the form of Sam's and Bass Pro gift cards without any problems.

I had the same problem a few days ago when I tried to withdraw for the first time. I entered a ticket. They checked my account and unlocked it. Yesterday I withdrew money. I withdrew to a bank account and also to PayPal. I had read that people have had trouble going directly to the bank account so I tried both. The paypal has posted and I transferred it to the bank. The other is still out there in cyberspace.

Jodi-lozier, you had this problem a few days ago and they already responded to your ticket, and unlocked your account? My ticket is 6 days old now and no one has responded and I still can't withdraw!

I had four tickets in last week. All for rebates I didn’t get not “every little thing”. They were all resolved together. After I submitted the locked account ticket. I responded to the care team person who resolved the others letting her know the new issue. She said she forwarded it to the correct people. That may have helped me along. My advice is to reply back to the ticket you submitted. Did you get an email when you put it in? Reply to that. Otherwise I think you can pull it up under your accounts. 
like you I was very dubious about the app when I found myself unable to withdrawl funds. Like you I bought things simply because of the rebate.  I believe it will work out, just keep trying.
