Yes.  Yes.  I was going to say the same thing.  I think it was a tongue-in-cheek comment   I don't think you get bumped back to the end of the line.  I find it amusing that he says they are manually responding to texts in a way they are implying they give it that extra special touch, but in reality I think it means they lack the technical infrastructure to automate responses.

If this text is pasted to everyone, are the other texts people get special, or are they also from a short list of responses?    I guess I wouldn't care.  I would just want my money.   This could easily get worse before it gets better.   With a spike in orders, you need people, and someone has to train the people, and if you only have a few people who do most of the work, when you take time away from that to train, it slows things down further.  But first you need people.  We also don't know what their margins are or their burn rate.  There is no guarantee they will be fine.  They might be, but if anyone is that certain they will succeed, they should contact Tiffin and ask how much of the business they could get for $100,000.

Short of that, submit small amounts, and realize you may need some patience for payouts.

@Icequeen813 That means nothing.  That doesn't mean he will succeed.  If his burn rate  is high enough, he will need additional rounds and possibly angel investors.  My main message has been one of caution; not doom.   My position is a reasonable one under the circumstances.  You seem to be personally invested in this for some reason.  I am just giving prudent advice.  I am telling people use your head and be patient, while you are all but guaranteeing they will get their money.

@Rickibotta @Icequeen813    I think IQ and I are remaining positive and given the subject title, it seems prudent to be cautious.  One thing I do like about Aisle is that when they pay you, it goes right into your Venmo account.  No worries about your account be frozen.  I am shopping as I usually do and submitting small receipts (for example $3 today).  If I get paid GREAT - if I don't, I won't have to run back to the store to return anything.  Like any other investment, if you can't afford to LOSE the money, you shouldn't INVEST. I agree you should be cautious, but I'm cautiously optimistic.  I'm rooting for Tiffin and Aisle to succeed.

@Rickibotta,

I completely agree with you!

There are 3 food items on Aisle's list that I regularly buy, so I submitted a receipt for a small amount yesterday morning, for one of my regular food items. If I don't get paid, I don't get burned since I would have bought this food anyway.

I then went to another store (did all my grocery shopping yesterday!) and happened to buy the other 2 items that I regularly buy. Then I got Aisle's text saying, "Whatever you do, don't reply to this text. It'll send you to the bottom of the list!!" So.. do I not submit my 2nd receipt now, since they said not to reply to the text? I only have 3 days to submit a receipt. I can see how this would be confusing to customers.

I did go ahead and submit the second receipt this morning (I replied to the text even though they said not to!) because I'm now on Day 2 of my 3 day limit to submit so didn't want to run out of time by following their directions..

Fingers crossed but again, this time I bought only the items I already buy so I don't have to stress about not getting paid like I did with the $30 purchase. They've got to figure out a better system here 😀

@southlake  My latest Aisle strategy is to only communicate in photos.  Photos seem to be more reliable than the texts.   When I want to add more context, I edit the photo by adding a text box and maybe some arrows.

No.  Avatars and memes.  Only those two.
