I just added a teammate through Facebook but you have to be comfortable with being friends and you have to share your name. Then in order for the new teammates to actually show up you have unlink and then link your Facebook to your I iBotta  app.

try unlinking and then re-link your Facebook account. I did that and all my friends returned.
