Gift cards

Question for you all. My dad is on Ibotta as well as myself. He signed up through my referral. My mom did as well. They both have their own separate account. My mom has the ability to purchase gift cards but my dad doesn’t. He uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Has done all updates but he still does not have the capability to purchase gift cards. 

anyone have any thoughts on why his app would be different. He has an iPhone. I checked his settings for the app and they are the same as mine. I have the ability to purchase gift cards as well. I am stumped.

Some new people have to wait for gift cards to be available to them. It will be on eventually.

See that is what is weird. He has been a member for two years. My mom has been a member for a couple of months. She has it. He doesn’t.

Did he add a Debit card first?

Also, some debit cards cannot be used.

To check, go to Account in the App and select Payment Methods.  If there is no debit card entered, then you can't buy gift cards.

Yes he did actually. I am not sure how he could tell if the debit card wasn’t permitted. It accepted it and it is a normal bank debit card. I am just at a loss.
