I redeemed the "Free Thanksgiving" McCormick gravy offer yesterday from Safeway. The offer says, "Offer valid on McCormick Gravy Packet for any variety."
I chose the Peppered Country Gravy packet and scanned it prior to purchase. Ibotta said, "Barcode matched!" at scan.
When submitting my receipt after purchase, Ibotta didn't automatically pick up the gravy so I manually added it by manually scanning the barcode again, and again Ibotta said, "Barcode matched!"
Received my reimbursement for the handful of items I purchased and Ibotta removed the gravy offer from my payout. No explanation or notice why, just not paid for it. I have submitted a help ticket to try to get credit for it.
I have scanned the gravy packet here at my house and it STILL says "Barcode matched!" here at my house lol, so I have no idea why they took this payment away from me. Hoping it gets resolved soon! Has anyone else had this issue with the gravy?
I did not have the problem with the gravy, but I have had this happen with other products.
I believe the Ibotta App checked the UPC and found that it matched. But when the item is submitted, the central computer checks the UPC again, but it doesn't find it.
The easiest thing you can do is submit the receipt again with only the item that was missed. Yes, you will have to scan the UPC again. I have submitted a receipt as many as 10 times trying to get it accepted. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
When an item is missed, the next easiest way to get your money back is to find the transaction in your Ibotta app under My Earnings. Select the transaction and then select Contact Ibotta Care at the bottom. Sometimes, Ibotta will look at your receipt and credit your account in a day. Other times, they ask you to send a picture of the item and the UPC. These usually take a couple of days to get resolved.

If you haven’t done so already, add the images to your ticket. This will show the item and that it matched. I did this recently for a similar problem with Angel Soft TP.

I had this same thing happen with some chips ahoy cookies, and it was the last item I needed to qualify for the turkey. After 3 days they finally credited for the cookies (never sent an email confirming which is very unusual ) it just popped up in my earnings. They have not credited me for the turkey bonus though so I’m hoping they do the right thing
I agree with others though, attach a picture of the gravy, UPC and screenshot of the offer to expedite the credit.
