Hi All
Just came out of Sprouts and as per usual, I immediately proceeded to submit my receipt in the car ( we know how they like to disappear). To my surprise, I was unable to submit a receipt, linked accounts only....no notice, no forewarning. I literally submitted a Sprouts receipt on Friday.
What's going on ibotta? What if I don't have a store account or simply do not want to link it? Had sooo much issues when I had my Target account linked, don't wanna go through that again. Spent almost $50 and was looking forward in getting most of that back in rebates and bonuses.
I'm not happy at all right now
you have to click an item 1st then you'll get this screen to scan receipts.
😞😞😞😞😞😞☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️
Does anyone know if they are discontinuing receipt submissions at some or all stores?
Any suggestions or advice?
Can an ibotta leader/administrator address this?
Thank you.
I am sorry this is happening to you. I also do not do any stores linked. WalMart, Meijer, and Kroger work very well just scanning the receipt. Kroger recently changed their receipt layout to be more ibotta-friendly, so it now lists each item on a separate line (e.g. 5 cans of pringles have 5 receipt lines.) This has nearly eliminated the issues I had with them only giving me partial credit for multiple purchases of same item.
That s-ucks that it was a sudden change. If you haven't done so yet, you should open a ticket and I am sure ibotta will take care of it for you. But don't purchase any more from the store expecting it to work until you get further direction. Unfortunately I am not sure who would notify you. I guess ibotta could send out an email to everyone in the world; I am not sure if they have a list of just people who use that store. It certainly is a reasonable expectation for you, but it may require a change request for ibotta programmers. There may be hundreds of open requests. It also may be something that happened all of a sudden and they did not have much advance notice. Maybe you will get an email notification in the near future explaining it.
I hope you get the money for the open purchase, and I hope you get the answers you are looking for.
If you click on the redeem tab and choose Sprouts at the bottom of the page is a button “use receipt instead” that should allow you to upload your receipt.
Hope this works for you.
Thanks for the response 🙂.
Last night:
I did send in a ticket. I also tried see what would happen when I submit a receipt to other stores - Walmart and Target did the same thing....no way to submit a receipt and showed linked account option only. Deleted and re downloaded app same thing. Looked over my entire app and all the layout and options were different. Deemed they were working on the app and just went to bed.
This morning:
Sprouts still has no receipt submission option but all other apps now allow to submit a receipt. Weird just weird. I'm thinking they are just working on the next upgrade to the app and my account is a test dummy thinking 🤔 😒 .
No clue as to what is really happening but they should be able to notify users first so as to not waste time and money. Will await some feedback from the community manager and ticket submission.
That sounds easy enough but therein lies the issue....I do not have a "use receipt instead" or any similar option to submit a receipt in my Sprouts tab.
They must be working on the app. , will await their response or just keep watching my app transform before my eyes.
you have to click an item 1st then you'll get this screen to scan receipts.
This worked!
After clipping a new offer, the option to choose receipt vs link account came up.
This option should be on the main screen of each store not on individual items though, imo.
Thank you again Dana 👏
So yes, some of you might see some changes to the app however we're not discontinuing receipt uploads by any means. The sequence of getting to the receipt scanning might be a bit different, but it should still be there.
As Dana mentioned, you should see the option to scan after adding items. Let me know if you're still having any difficulty though.
