There are a ton of free offers at Walmart. Besides the 9 Thanksgiving items, look for the following FREE items. Remember free items does vary by region.
@mamaX To make things easier, you can check your Walmart ap to see if it is available in your local store. Brainiac is not available by me. I did most of the other offers and many of you may still also have the free Core bar, Wholly Rollies and the Annie's one p o t pasta - (not sure if these are still available as I did them in recent weeks already). Haven't found the Clio parfait either - although I've been looking. There is also a Munk Pack Bars free offer. I did not get the Eco Lips offer.
Very true, often times these products are not available in my region. I do try and take advantage of every free offer even if I wouldn’t use it. I donate all my unwanted goodies to our local food shelf.
I went shopping tonight. I cannot find the parfait anywhere. The Brainiac was not at Walmart but I found it at Safeway. The Eco, I’ve got before and I know where that was hiding. I found it on an end cap in the beauty section. I do have 4 Walmart’s in my town. I do go online and search for products before shopping. But generally I stick with my closest store.
Yes there are!
Unfortunately most of the products are never available. This is the “agony of defeat” and for me, turns me away from iBotta and Walmart.
When I can only get one in four/five offers that are on my list, I stop spending hours making a list and 3-4 hours searching in the store.
I would rather get out my local ads, coupons (that get doubled), get my fresh produce, etc and a free turkey of my choosing with a two-hour shopping trip and no waiting to get my account credited or submitting help tickets.
That’s how I think- I get really disappointed when I can’t find item after item “only at Walmart” then the other local stores are fully stocked with the same thing.
So, the freebies are nice to look at, but by no means do we get them.
Congrats to all who do find them! If you don’t use them yourself, consider donating to others.
I’m donating sauce, no pasta this week. (Have been looking for the Barilla ready pasta for MONTHS, and now the Ronzini too....
@Lisalikestosave Try searching the Walmart app for your local store so you know if it's worth the trip and to see what aisle it's in (saves time), even though I think a lot of us (I know I do) have the stores mapped out. Since I started shopping Walmart more and more, I find that if I go earlier in the day, I have a better shot, plus even if items aren't free - quiet often they are a lot cheaper than my regular grocery store. I also looked up items such as Brainiac yogurt and found it isn't even on the East Coast.
I agree it's frustrating when you can't find an item, and people are talking about free items with peelies - I JUST started finding peelies (coupons that are attached to the item in the store) and hangtags. Similar to CVS shopping - I used to shop CVS all the time, but lately my offers (CRTs) aren't great and when people say this is free if you combine 3-4 different things, I just turn back to Walmart and Target of late.
What are your go-to stores? I do Walmart, Target and ShopRite primarily, as well as CVS and Stop and Shop (on occasion).
I usually go to the Albany Super Walmart or the one in Glenville. My next is ShopRite or Price Chopper. I will also do a road trip for Wegmans.
if I check the Walmart app, I tend not to go- lol! I will typically go on a Saturday morning, but found that last night was okay because they were restocking already and were friendly.
I only do CVS for “pharmacy “ stuff and have never grocery shopped at Target- I really don’t want another membership to manage.
ShopRite is pretty good but their digital coupons are insanely difficult- the app creates a new membership number each time and then any linked apps don’t record purchases. Ugh!!! But ShopRite has great deals, a good selection, excellent produce and meats and takes coupons, so I do like them best. I rarely if ever buy produce at Walmart. I used to do a lot of shopping at Price Chopper but they aren’t too clean, their computers make a lot of mistakes and my bf cannot understand their BOGOs so he never gets the right items and the cashiers will not help. When I was a cashier I used to help people. Now they could care less so that’s why- I go elsewhere!!
PS this new website is so not user friendly!! But it’s nice to be able to converse with someone. 😊
@Lisalikestosave If you @ the person you are talking to - it's easier to converse or otherwise you can click on your icon and send a private message if you choose to do so. I was always a Shoprite person at heart. Recently they opened a Lidl locally - so I have been shopping there a bit too. They have digital coupons and good prices (honestly I'm not even sure if they take coupons other than their ap). I'm mid-Long Island.
Butting in to this conversation...
I am lucky to have a Walmart that is about 4 miles away. I actually have 7 Walmarts within 20 miles. Publix is the largest grocery chain in Florida with a few others. We had a Lucky's, but they pulled out. The only other major chain is Winn Dixie.
I agree that many of the free items are only available at Walmart, but rarely in stock. Most of these are new items. Walmart is VERY SLOW to add new items. Publix, on the other hand, is very fast to add new items. There are times that when the free offer expires, Walmart adds the item in the store. Well, it feels like it.
Because I shop at Walmart more than anywhere else, it is not a problem checking to see if something new is now in stock. I swing by Dairy every trip to see if any of the Brainiac or Clio items have finally come in.
Again, I am lucky to have a Walmart close.
@mmoore01 Also remember the app is not always accurate. I was looking for something at Target - one store said not in stock and the other said in stock - of course it was the opposite, but that's the way it works. I also want to buy 4 of the 2 pack scotch bright scrub dots sponges which are on Ibotta and Swagbucks (you have to buy 4 to really get a good deal on Swagbucks) - I'll let you guys know if they actually had 4 in stock.
Well, I just ordered my free Thanksgiving items for pickup, And when I picked up not a single item from that list of 9 was included in my order. I am bummed, and since I did not receive a receipt, I cannot even register a complaint with WM. Nor can I reorder and try again, because Ibotta thinks I already ordered.
