Re: Meijer Deals

@Rickibotta since you're the Meijer expert, is there a way to know which items are part of the buy 5 save $5 weekly deals? I have 2x items that I'm going to buy later tonight that I'm 99% certain are part of the deal, and I need to find 3x items, hopefully Ibotta items.

According to their ad, it looks like some General Mills cereals are part of the promotion, but I can't tell if it includes Raisin Nut Bran or Honey Nut Cheerios..

@Zombie

Thank you so much for your much misplaced vote of confidence....lol.

So, let's get this out of the way first.   Meijer su-cks with their promotions overall.

  • Meijer actually led with the Buy 10 for $10, get 11th item FREE.  Kroger tried that once or twice I believe, and it didn't stick.
  • Kroger had their B5S5 before Meijer, and pretty much the week Meijer started B5S5, Kroger changed to where you did not have to buy in multiples of 5; you now get $1 off at Kroger when you buy 5 or more.  But:  At Meijer, remember you still have to buy in multiples of 5.  If you buy 8, you do not get $1 off on the last 3.

  • Kroger website:  provides link to participating B5S5 products.  Product page and searches designate B5S5 on the product page, as do the prices shown in your shopping list.
  • Kroger app:  No link to participating B5S5 products.  Product page and searches do NOT designate B5S5 on the product page, and no mention in shopping list either..
  • Meijer website and app both operate the same way.  No designation of B5S5 on the product page, or via searches, or prices in shopping list.   Sometimes there is a link on website to a list.

(Meijer has a new promotion they started doing where you get $1 off when you get 7 or more participating items, so why don't they do it for the B5S5,  uggghh.)

To answer your direct question:

Meijer sometimes has a selection in their dropdown menu that takes you to a B5S5 list.  This week they do not.

There are generally three links you can find by Googling for 'Meijer Buy 5 Save 5'

https://www.meijer.com/buy-5-save-5.html

https://www.meijer.com/shopping/c/collections/buy-5-save-5-week-1.html

https://www.meijer.com/shopping/c/collections/buy-5-save-5-week-2.html

Generally one of those, although detached from their website, appears to be largely, if not completely, accurate.

I tend to spot check what is in the ad, looking through the pages linked above, and try to figure out which may be correct.  For this week, I have not vetted the links against the flyer.  But my first inclination is that the WEEK1 link should be correct since there was no B5S5 last week.  And WEEK2 link will perhaps be valid for AUG28 thru Sep3.

So what I do is make my list.  Go to Meijer and verify all my selections have the signage.  My experience is signage generally is correct, and if shelf tag does not mention $1 off for B5S5, it generally is not qualifying item.  This is not necessarily true the final evening of the sale, because at my store at least, they start tearing tags off early evening.

Sorry this is not a definitive answer.  But it is what I have.

@Rickibotta No need to apologize! That was a very thorough answer and provided all the details and resources I needed to figure out an answer prior to shopping (and yes, I believe you are correct regarding the WEEK1 link being for this week). Thank you!

****AWESOME DEAL ALERT****

(I am tired, please forgive the word **bleep**) (EDIT: why does it bleep out the synonym for "puke"?)

I stopped by Meijer today and confirmed this deal before posting. (Details below screenshots)

If anyone has not yet used their Fairlife Plain yogurt FAO yet, the Fairlife yogurts are part of this week's B5S5 deal. There is also a $2.49 off rebate for the flavored varieties (note that the barcode does not match for the Strawberry Banana flavor). You have to figure out 3x other items to add in order to reach a quantity of 5. After the B5S5 price, the Fairlife yogurts are $2.99 each and you get $5.00 back for the plain tub and $2.50 back for the flavored tub.

(For my 3x other items, I bought General Mills Big G cereals for the 50¢ Ibotta rebate and to help me reach both CDC and Fetch threshold offers. I also had MFR coupons that saved me 50¢ per box.)

@Rickibotta just a thought... Since this Meijer thread is getting so long, could you maybe pin a couple of the more useful resource posts (like the one you just wrote about B5S5) by marking them as answers so they will be easier to find by showing up on the first page?

La Colombe - 9 oz can:  FREE @ Meijer Express (Gas Station)

Price showed $2.99 in app, was $3.29 at Meijer express, but was FREE after DQ

I got the vanilla.  It looks like a few may not be attached to the DQ.  YMMV.

Meijer: MPERKS DQ for 10% Off Next SHOP & SCAN Purchase

Look for the MPERKS DQ for 10% off your next SHOP & SCAN purchase.

Make sure to clip DQ before checking out on a large shop to maximize savings.  All too often, I buy $4 or $5 worth of stuff so I don't want to waste it on that.  I want to use it when I at least spend $30 or $40.

Re: Meijer Deals (Little Potato Co - Two 3-lb Bags for $3 with SB )

Deal requires Swagbucks

These are normally $6.49 each, but are on sale - 2 for $8 when you buy 2 or more.

2 for $8:  less $5 SB (WYB2) = $3 for both

I am excited for this because I have been roasting a lot of potatoes lately.  I will have to see if these are any good microwaved.

Checkout51 came out with a $1 rebate per bag .

So that makes the deal even better for 2 bags of The Little Potato Co potatoes.

These are normally $6.49 each, but are on sale - 2 for $8 when you buy 2 or more.

2 for $8:  less $5 SB (WYB2) less $2 C51 = $1 for two bags

SOMOS 90-Second Beans Pouches (10 oz)  -  99¢ each (limit 5)

There certainly are a lot of different 'ready to heat' rice pouches available, so I was excited to see a great deal on some beans pouches.

Regularly $3.59 each, but on sale for $2.99 each, get these for 99¢ after a $2 ibotta rebate (limit 5),
