I am getting pretty frustrated. Almost every time I do an offer that allows to be redeemed multiple times, I only get credit for one time. Sometimes if I redo the receipt it will take second one,
Yesterday I did separate purchases to avoid the problem,
pkus there were bonus that required separate purchase. After entering first item, the rebate went away. Very frustrating. I would not have bought 3 boxes of Lucky Charms if I wasn’t getting a rebate on them. They really need to fix their app!
You should NEVER resubmit a receipt when you have received partial credit on an item. It isn't worth it because you may get flagged for fraud. You should open up a ticket if you only get paid for one of three purchased. I really don't know how you did this unless you waited for it to reset. And if that is what you did, don't do that.
This is actually a common problem. It happens to me all the time unfortunately. This never happens to me at WM where each item is on a separate line (i.e. buy three of same candy bar, there are 3 lines on receipt). Technically it is somewhat impossible for them to interpret the receipt to see how many items were purchased for grocers where they have not normalized their receipts with ibotta. I am surprised it works as well as it does. But they always come through with the ticket. Again, be patient. It may take up to a week.
There's an option that before we check out we have to update the quantity and if we don't update it from one to however many we bought then credits will not update. We have to also make sure we are buying the exact size and scan the barcode before purchase just to ensure that it matches. Sometimes they need to add UPCs to their system because there are so many. There is an option in our Ibotta app to send in a photo and picture of the barcode that did not match. But the offer will never match if you did not add the offer before you submitted your receipt. Also that any item in any brands have to be added before you shop or credit will not be awarded.
Yes the receipts can be a part of the issue with getting credit. If the receipt items are not understandable or the receipt is not itemized with each offer in a row the multiple purchases may not be recognized. So these are things that are just parked up the redemption and that's why they have a customer service to help :-). You can usually resend the same receipt after 48 hours.
Apologize for the errors and some of my messages. When there are issues redeeming it could be that the quantity was not updated as it's supposed to be or the receipt is strange or the ink printing was not readable. Make sure we understand how Ibotta works And they've got hundreds of articles for us to understand what the problem may be 🙂
You should NOT split purchases of same product into separate transactions.
While you have a week to submit that second receipt, the item leaves ibotta once you have redeemed the first one. In many cases, it will not come back (reset), and that means you will not get credit for the second one.
You are better off buying multiples and open up tickets. If you need the money that bad that you can't wait a week, you probably should reconsider your risk assessment, and avoid buying multiples. If the money is not the issue, then unfortunately, tickets are just slow these days, up to a week. Ibotta will always make it right if owed, albeit slowly.
@Pedie My lucky charms was buy 3 in separate trips. So I bought 1 then waited to see if it would reset before buying another, then again the third time and got my bonus! Make sure to read the bonus offer carefully.
