Power up at Kroger

Have any of you gotten a store "Catalina" printout with a code to enter on poweruppoints.com? I started getting them awhile back and went to the site to register. It's part of Kroger and you can use points to get video game stuff, "experiences", or store coupons. I'm not sure why I get a printout but I put in the codes and have gotten 3 dqs ($3 off seafood,  $3 off deli cheese, and a free box of any  Kellogg cereal).  I used the last one today and got $1 ir. I see people tossing these papers like they don't want to be bothered. Even if I don't know what I did to get a code, I put them in and get stuff. I think maybe Kroger is testing this concept in my area.  I was wondering if any one else has seen these?

Yes I get them too. I have tried the codes a few times but every time I get a message that says I'm not eligible to participate. I think it may be based on what you purchase? I will keep trying - those are great dqs! Thanks for sharing!

Start here, choosing your KFOS store:

https://www.kroger.com/f/gaming-sys

Then SIGN IN.  I think you just enter your login credentials and it sets you up with the same credentials.

SHOP THE BRANDS will display the list of products that count towards the bonus.   You must accumulate $30 in qualifying products by the end of the month to earn 1,000 points.

CLAIM POINTS is where you enter the code that comes in a catalina after you reach the $30 total.

EARN REWARDS is where you trade in your points for items.

You are supposed to get a catalina print the shopping trip after you reach $30 each month.  Mine has never done this properly.  I have reached the $30 threshold on two occasions, but I never got the cat the next trip per the rules.  I did have one print the day I got to like $29.50.   Then on three other occasions, I found a catalina left behind.   So it is sort of not reliable......lol.  All in all, I have earned 2,000 but have been able to claim 4,000, so I am ahead of the game so to speak by 2,000.

KROGER POWER UP REWARDS ACTIVE AGAIN EFFECTIVE AUGUST 17, 2022

For those participating in Kroger Power Up Rewards, I found a tickler in my junk to remind me I havce 4,000 points to spend.   Upon looking a bit to see if the points will be expiring soon, I noticed it appears this promotion is back on again after a brief hiatus.

I have not been to Kroger since August 16, so I can't confirm yet.    I will confirm when I go there next.  If anyone else has been since August 17, please confirm the bottom of your receipt once again includes points totals.

=======================================================

There are eight (8) separate and independent qualifying periods (“Qualifying Periods” or “QP”) to purchase Qualifying Products and earn potential Points as follows:

- QP #1: Beginning at 12:00:00 AM ET on February 16, 2022 and ending on at 11:59:59 PM ET on March 31, 2022*;

@Rickibotta Yes, I can confirm that the Power Up Rewards message with spending totals is now showing up at the bottom of my receipt. I shopped yesterday and it shows me I'm at $11.46 of the $30 needed and that the exp date is 9-30-22.

Glad I saw the post updates.  I saw my 8/17 Kroger receipt and sure enough,  it's back with a new name.  I had 4650 points to use. I got $5 off ground beef and 500 fuel points with another 1000 points to use next week.  Woo-hoo!

For awhile the only offers were games and gamer gc's.  I much prefer dqs for real life items.

@TXbelle

So I finally made it to KROGER on Saturday.

My receipt does show the progress, but looky looky at what printed out.  Not one, but two of the rewards certificatesI think one must have been from June where I don't think I got the one I earned, and maybe the second one was because I was so close to $30 right now.   I seemed to get one in a past month during a trip where I was over $29.

Receipt Code XP:   Seems to Indicate the item is part of the Gamer promotion

Doritos are not in the list of brands for this promotion, but the math works out to $29.41 if I add up the 5 Doritos and the 4 Red Baron Stuffed pizzas,

@Rickibotta

I think all "munchie" snacks are part of the program.  It's obvious the demographic is young video gamers and the stuff they eat and Mtn Dew are what gets them points. I like Mtn Dew but had to get away from the caffeine. I have $4+ on my way to $30...

I have received these also, however there doesn't seem to...

I have received these also, however there doesn't seem to be an online list or any Specific Instructions anywhere that I've been able to find. The only thing I have noticed is that there are tags on the shelves that will let you know that you can win points when you purchase those tags and then after some unknown period of time the points spit out it you on the Catalina machine.

TO SEE QUALIFYING PRODUCTS FOR KROGER GAMER PROMO

@Tstorm1

https://www.pointsrewardsplus.com/

Create an account.   It either asks you to log in with your existing Kroger login, or I created it the same.

Then select the SHOP & EARN button below.

  • The qualifying items vary by chain
  • Not all items for a brand qualify.  You have to select by brand to see what ones do
  • There are some things that qualify that do not show up by searching via this method.  For example, Doritos counted for me even though they are not on the list.   As @TXbelle suggested, many more snack items may count than they advertise.
  • My last trip seemed to designate qualifying items on the receipt with a XP code.
