I purchased 3 Core Bars on March 3 at Target. I already submitted my receipt and received credit for the cash back offer of $1.25 on 1 Core Bar. A new cash back offer appeared today for $2.49 back on 2 Core Bars. Since I purchased 3 before and it was only good for one redemption, I should still have 2 that did not receive any rebate. According to everything I’ve read, those 2 should be eligible for this new cash back offer because the purchase was made only 2 days ago and neither of the items received credit under the original rebate,. However, I’ve had issues in the past with my account being flagged for review, which is always resolved because I’m very careful to follow all guidelines, but I’d like to avoid that happening again. Does anyone know if I’m allowed to submit my receipt again to receive credit under this new rebate on the 2 Core Bars that were not part of my previous offer. I submitted this question to support, but I’m hoping someone here can offer guidance. By the time I get a reply from support, the offer might disappear.
You have to wait until they answer your ticket no one can help you here. You do not need to make the same post multiple times it clogs uo the feed. @ScottyS please delete this is a multiple post
@Dana Geez. Sorry. I’m new to Ibotta and still learning. I guess I had the wrong impression of what a community group would be.
@Dana And there are lots of other posts with questions about receipt submissions with answers, and they are very helpful. I’ve been looking at all of them, but nothing was the same situation as this one, so I thought it would be okay to ask.
@Saving4Fun it is ok to ask but you only need to ask once and wait for someone to answer. You put it up twice that's not necessary it clogs up the feed.
@Dana yes, I thought I was posting to a different feed and didn’t realize it’s all the same. I didn’t understand the difference between the categories, labels and tags. I guess you can tell I’m also new to community forums that have so many options, but I’m a fast learner and will work on familiarizing myself more. I just joined Ibotta in December out of desperation to find a safe hobby. I’ve been on medical leave from work (genetic autoimmune disease and the corresponding risk of COVID). I needed a safe hobby to keep me from going crazy, and I discovered Ibotta, Fetch, and Shopkick. They’ve kept me busy, saved me a lot of money, and they’re great mental exercises. I can do most everything from home and order online for drive up. If I have to go into a store, I make sure to have everything planned out, and usually go late at night to avoid the crowds. Thank God I was just approved to get the vaccine this Saturday. It’s going to be a huge relief to feel safe again after a terrifying year. Sorry again for my double posts.
@Saving4Fun Don't be insulted - some of us are blunter than others. (Especially us NYers) I personally would probably submit it again - but that's just ME - usually if it's within 24 hours it's ok to do that, but again, I don't work for Ibotta, I'm just a user like you are so I can't answer you with 100% certainty as to what you can and cannot do. It's a learning process. I guess Ibotta put out a mass "invite" and everyone is posting I"M NEW - HI - TEAMATES and including referral codes, so some of us "old timers" may be a little cranky. Trust me - most of us are a fun bunch - don't get turned off YET!
@Saving4Fun I actually did that yesterday with a WM receipt. For some reason I didn't get the credit for the any receipt or the drink mix, so I added those 2 offers, rescanned the receipt and those 2 offers came up (.20 YAY). But again - not sure in your case as they are for the same item, different offers.
@FelskyNY thank you so much for all of the info. I’m too sensitive at times, so I really appreciate the clarification. Yes, Ibotta put an icon and link in the rotating header at the top of the app to advertise this forum. It said something about how much more the members of this group earn, which some people found misleading. They thought they would receive “Earn More” credit for joining. I never thought that, so at least I’m not completely confused. I certainly understand about the hesitation to give advice because you can’t speak for Ibotta. I’m overly paranoid because my account was blocked twice, and then deactivated. I guess I earned an unusually high amount of money, as a new user, in a short amount of time. I was accused of re-selling and/or returning the items I was purchasing and submitting. It was so upsetting because I’d never do something like that. I actually work for Target and would be terminated immediately if I ever did anything remotely close to that. I spent several days appealing the decision. I provided as much proof as possible and begging them to do another review of my account. I tried to keep my employment out of it, but eventually, that was the only way to convince them. They reinstated my account as soon as I told them that I have to follow even stricter purchasing guidelines. This all happened about a week ago, so I’m still paranoid about everything. This was supposed to be a fun, safe hobby while I’m on medical leave, but it got really intense.
@Saving4Fun I'm glad I put you at ease - I tend to be the mother-bear at times. I had another app locked before and it was very upsetting so I understand when it was NOT MY FAULT. Like I said, I was only saying what I would do - NOT that I know 100% that it is OK with Ibotta. I would think it is - but again, don't know for a fact (but at least you have documentation if you do it and they don't like it.) Keep us posted and feel free to share any deals at Target or Any other store you shop at! Hope we didn't turn you off.
