CHECKOUT51 & SAVINGSTAR
It's worth noting that you can't double dip with these two; it is either/or. The two share info so you are not allowed to submit an offer for the same product/receipt pair to both.
Savingstar typically will have offers with a limit of one and then the offer goes away. They also have 'One or Many' offers that are typically like 'earn $5 when you spend (WYS) $20' on a certain product or family of products. This can be across multiple trips; hence the 'many'
Checkout51 may have the same offer as SavingStar at one time, but with a limit of 3. Checkout51 refreshes every Thursday, and all of your deals are unclipped, even if the same offer has renewed. Many items repeat for several weeks at a time. For example, I always use Country Crock 45 oz, and there is usually a $1 offer each week with a limit of 3
SEE WHAT WORKS FOR YOU
Biggest savings usually come from combining many rebates or coupons, sales, etc. I recently bought a bunch of boxes of Fiber One bars. There was a $3 WYS $17 offer in SavingStar, but I also was using ibotta, MQs or DQs, Kroger Cash Back, and the B5S5 promotion from Kroger, and catalinas. Short story long, I ended up getting 7 boxes of Fiber One bars (retail of about $26) for $1.43 total at the end of the day.
The best thing to do is try out all the available rebate services you are interested in and see what works for you. Sometimes it has to do with your shopping habits. For example, some people **bleep** it with Kellogg's Family Rewards, but I don't buy enough Kellogg to mess with it.
I feel like I have downloaded and tried a TON of different savings/coupon/cashback apps and have been able to narrow it down to the best ones (as far as easiest with quickest payout). I’ve listed my favs that I always use below.
1. ibotta
2. Fetch Rewards
3. Receipt Hog
4. ReceiptPal
5. Swagbucks
6. MyPoints

What is the name of the app?
I use Ibotta, Fetch, Receipt Hog, Receipt Pal, Coin Out, and My Points. I also use Honey and Earny for cash back. Also Drop and Dosh. I use Freebird for Uber or Lyft rides. How does everyone like ShopKick? I also take surveys through YouGov, Streetbees, Survey **bleep**, and Tellwut Surveys. I do mystery shopping and focus groups as well. Use the dScout app to find high paying focus groups. I have heard good things about VoxPopMe and Influenster as well. After reading I’m going to try the coupons.com apps as well. The Walgreens and Dollar General apps have awesome deals as well!
Dont forget COINOUT.
Ibotta is great, I agree.
There are apps also worth mentioning:
1) Chime - banking management app;
2) Digit - counts every cent you spend and advise on what you can save money on;
3) Qapital - educates you by providing financial lessons;
4) Mint - notifies you when you need to pay your bills, to not pay penalties
5) You Need a Budget - budget planner.
Besides, as an app developer, I can suggest you read my article about how such apps are made, you'll learn a lot.
