Trouble with Made Good brand?

Loconnor82

Having trouble with the Made Good brand purchase at CVS. The offer clearly said $1.00 for each box of Made Well snack purchased at CVS. Moments after I selected the offer and then scanned my receipt, the offer vanished.  I am new to Ibotta. Does this happen often?  It’s feeling like a scam.

If I understand you correctly, that is normal.

When you submit your receipt, the rebates disappear for some period of time (24-48 hours).  Sometimes they don't come back at all.

This is not a scam.

Thank you for your reply. The problem is, I was not even able to submit the receipt because the item that I checked off at 1:00 was no longer there at 1:15 when I went to take the photo of the receipt. I feel like I was duped.  The offer was there last night and even today. Before going into the store to buy just that item, I opened up the app to be sure that I had selected the offer and to re-read the requirements and exclusions. I went into the store and bought the item and by the time I came out and went to take a photo of the receipt, the item and offer was no longer on the Ibotta app.

The manufacture decides how many rebates there are once the limit is reached it disappears it doesn't matter if it has an expiration date or not.

Thank you. Good to know. Just seemed odd that in a matter of 10-15 minutes the item was gone from the app. But I guess it is, what it is 🙂

Unfortunately, this can happen.  This is why I always scan the UPC in the store before purchasing it and then submit my receipt while still in the store.

Ibotta reserves the right to remove a rebate at any time, but I can assure you, it wasn't because you just bought it.

This kind of thing happens more on the weekends when more people are shopping.  The rebates can be set up to only allow so many rebates and if a surge of rebates are submitted, it can be removed since all the rebates are gone.

You can try submitting a request to Ibotta and they may understand and give you credit, but I can't guarantee that.  Be aware that it usually takes a couple of days to get a reply, but the holidays saw up to a week.

Your other option is to return the item to CVS.

@Loconnor82 When that happens to me, the first thing I do is look at my "list" at the store where I last viewed the offer. Sometimes it's hiding there and still valid.

Other times it's because the offer is valid, but at a store different than where I purchased it. Then again....other times it's because it indeed disappeared.

If it disappeared, sometimes it may refresh & re-appear after 24 hours (so check back). Other times I might submit a ticket to CS and explain (exact offer/brand/amount/etc) that it disappeared suddenly between the time you verified & the time you submitted. The two times I did that, I was thankful that they responded favorably.

One thing I"ve learned to do is take "screen shots" of the offers I intend to purchase so that I can explain my case better if necessary.
