What’s up with Shopkick?

Rema

Submitted a receipt today to Shopkick for Airheads…noticed it did say when going in to claim the kicks that it said must be purchased after 1/11/2022. Since I had just bought them, I did try but it was rejected. No where on the main screen does it give any restrictions. So I did check the information on the claiming kicks page, and many of the items are saying this!! And on items that have been available for quite some time!! Buyer beware when using Shopkick…make sure you check the claiming page to see if it is truly available before you buy!!

@Rema  that is so strange, I would definitely take a screenshot and put in a ticket.

@FelskyNY  I was lucky that it was only a $1.50 item.  But the Huggies Bundle would be an expensive disappointment. It’s been around for a long time, don’t know why it would say purchases after 1/11/2022. Almost all of mine say that when you go to the claim page. And I haven’t submitted any other ones in the past weeks, so I have no resets.

@Rema  I never paid attention to the date til you mentioned it.   If it's on the app, it should be available.  I would think they will straighten it out.  Really strange!

@FelskyNY  Actually says ineligible purchase date when I submitted it

I don't know what the Claiming Page is, but I always check the item on the Scan Page.  I always try to scan the UPC before buying the item to make sure I have the correct item.

If the Receipt amount is greyed out, I know that I can't submit the item again.  I do know that sometimes the Receipt page will still say the item is available, but I don't trust it.  Always check the item on the Scan page and see if it is available for a receipt.

I have noticed some items that are ONLY scannable and some are ONLY submit receipt.  I am guessing Shopkick is in one of their lull periods.  Not as many companies are advertising right now.

Before I go shopping for SK, I always click thru the CLAIM button to see the terms.  This got me once before, so I check noe b4 I buy.

@Rickibotta @mmoore01 @FelskyNY  I had never had this problem before, but will check for dates going forward. All of my offers are active, and scan without problem. No dates are mentioned on that main page. Today I have several, i.e. one a day/bayer/clariten/cheese, that changed to purchases after 1/12/2022!!! And you wouldn’t know unless you checked the receipt page where you claim your points!!  Will have to check tomorrow to see what changes!! BTW…Shopkick did give me my kicks after I filled out a request.

When you choose your product and you click SUBMIT RECEIPT, it takes you to a CLAIM YOUR KICKS page.  I do this before I even purchase for two reasons:

  • You can verify if there are any date requirements for your offer
  • You can check the CLAIM XXXX KICKS to see if the kick amount is lower than what it said on the prior screen.  Often it will show in the offer page as 500 kicks, but it will show on the next screen as 80 kicks.  This is an indication that the offer is being lowered rather soon.  So you know what to expect if you purchase.  If you dont feel like opening a ticket to get the 500 kicks the initial screen showed instead of the 80 it actually went thru as on the redemption screen, then you can skip it.  I always take screenshots whenever it shows different claim amounts on the second screen, and I have never been denied the original amount.
