We have identified an issue causing Walmart receipts to not properly scan and may require multiple scans before a successful upload. To continue earning cash back at Walmart, please continue scanning your printed in-store receipt until it processes. If you are still unable to scan successfully after multiple attempts, you can submit a ticket through Carlotta, our automated chatbot.
Our team is working to have a fix in place as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience while we work to resolve this issue.
Glad you are working on this. FYI, it is still not fixed.
I tried to scan my Walmart receipt with Rayovac batteries for the $.50 rebate. The Ibotta app found the item on my receipt and said I would get $.50 back. I submitted it to Ibotta and almost immediately it says nothing was found. I tried again, the app found the batteries and I submitted it. It came back and said nothing was found again.
I then selected the entry for the latest transaction and pressed Contact Ibotta Care at the bottom of the screen. I typed in what happened and sent in the request. Hopefully, it will be resolved within the next couple of days.
This is a issue going on for months now and instead of improving its getting worse.. At first it was resubmitting 2-3 times then it was 7-8. The last time it took me an hour and 14 attempts in resubmitting the receipt before it was accepted that is unacceptable. I haven't attempted any bonuses in weeks because it doesn't want to go thru anymore. This didn't start until months ago when I received the message about older phones will not be compatible with ibotta. I bought a new phone because i didn't want to lose using ibotta but I am still losing ibotta because of this. the issue has to be somewhere there when they changed it. Please fix this issue soon.
