I walked into Walmart hoping for just 2 rebates, and was pleasantly surprised. This is from two WM stores. After scoring big at one, I stopped at a 2nd on the way home, and am glad I did. With this, Bookworm bonus is complete, and I am 2 offers away from the WW.
Everything pictured except the Suave, Curad and Puffs tissues were on clearance. Of these 27 items, 15 were completely free with coupons. Found 8 items w/rebates: Air Wick 2ct, Pantene, Baptiste, Stuffed Puffs, Suave DS, Olay serum, Coppertone, CG. I used Ibotta, Shopkick, and cdc app.
The Puffs are from Target, free w/Shopkick.
So many moneymakers here! This came out to a $19.91 MM!* (Potpourri not included in total.)
*Edit: MM not including the $10 bonus. Adding that, it’s a $29.91 MM.*
I should have bought 2 Olay even though the rebate is only for 1. They were marked down to $5 and we have $4 coupons.
I would like to come visit one of you some day where WM gives things away. My WMs will have a vitamin bottle marked down from $29.74 to $24.89, a makeup item from $13.74 to $11.99, etc. On a few occasions, I have checked all said junk and did not find a single mm opportunity.
That being said, I am happy for those of you who find awesome deals.
Sorry @Rickibotta. I didn’t realize that this is unusual. The small Walmarts are where it’s at.
At the first store there was a cart not far from check out, loaded with hair care and household clearance. It was nearly wiped out in 20 mins. I was going to buy a 3rd Febreze in another transaction since I had 1 more coupon, but I wasn’t quick enough—someone snatched up the last two.
Other finds—not purchased:
Splash water $0.50, coupon in cdc app $0.35. There were boxes upon boxes by the entrance.
Children’s ZQuil $3, $1 coupon, $1 Ibotta rebate
Arm & Hammer toothpaste $2.89, $2 Ibotta rebate
Oh, I have no idea if it is unusual. It may just be me and my bad luck
They did have like 15 of these ginormous Blues Clues electronic stuffed things marked down from $90 to $50. They wheeled them out as I was walking in. About 10 minutes later I was leaving and two women were arguing over who grabbed the last one first.
Other than that, I was excited when I go a bunch of the pepperidge farms stuffing mixes for 40 cents (or) PRIDE skittles 4-oz packages for 50 cents each
And my WM won't adjust their inventory down to zero for the Curad Wrap, so it has been showing up as 2 in stock for months. So, as a result, they don't order any more. Was a nice little moneymaker when it was in stock the one time.
Food clearance is the best.
Super Walmarts are great for finding something that is not carried at other stores.
The smaller Walmarts tend to put items on clearance much sooner because they just don't have the space to store everything.
We had a Super Walmart that was remodeled earlier in the year. They stayed open, but space was at a premium. They had LOTS of stuff on clearance. But the remodeling is done and what's on the clearance aisle is just junk.
I have also found a few great prices at a Walmart Neighborhood Market. They also don't have a lot of space, so they are always putting things on clearance. I picked up a 10 oz bag of Twizzlers for $.50 a few weeks ago. Of course, it is hit or miss and you have to visit the stores regularly to find the deals.
@Nique ...dang, is your Walmart closing?! LOL 😆
....LUCKY YOU! Much like @Rickibotta my Wal-Mart hardy ever has any good clearance like this. There is a clearance "aisle" but it's just a few random items spread out to make the aisle look full, stuff no one has heard of....as seen on TV junk, etc.
OMG. We go to the same WM!! I always think the same thing. It seems like they could use 1/2 of one side, intead of a full section both sides. Way too much MFTV junk. **bleep** cables and chargers.
@MeLMeL11 LOL… It could be because I shopped in the morning. Then some things I stumbled upon while browsing. They were in random areas.
There are three Walmart stores near me, two of which have pretty good clearance. I don’t go out of my way to visit a Super Walmart. Stopped in one the other day and was quickly overwhelmed. Their stock wasn’t very good. Some of the basics—like yogurt—were nearly wiped out. Clearance was just an end cap. They did have some of the same items marked down in the facial care section, incl. Shea Moisture and the Sukin products (nearly free w/CO51). At least I found a couple of items the small stores don’t stock, and some SK moneymakers.
Found more coupons and my travels put me near Walmart, so repeated a few deals today. Bandaids for $0.25 is a great deal. Not surprisingly Olay was gone.
