This is an update fuel prices at the stations I fill-up has increased $0.85 per gallon in the last 60 days. The question is how high will fuel prices increase? What strategies do you use to help save on fuel? These are my tips for saving fuel.
The current price (as of last night) was $4.19 at a Murphy station (Walmart) here in Melbourne, Florida.
I usually buy gas at a Circle K that sells Shell. Their price last night was $4.29. I use the GetUpSide app and get a discount with the Shell rewards card.
However, I purchased a $50 Shell gas card at Publix on Sunday for $40 (when you spend $50 on groceries). That's a 20% saving. But at current prices, it won't last long.
Current price is $4.40 on Long Island - and I use CO51 for cash back. Current offer is only .04 at current Speedway which is the closest to my house, but if I go to the Speedway 2 miles away (by Target) - it is .14 back.
You do have to pay w/ a credit card.
$4.25 in lovely Greenwood Indiana, just south of Indy,.
On Feb 28 (just 9 days ago,) it was $3.5999, and with my monthly $1 off from Kroger, I paid $2.5999 for 30 gallons., 16 for me and 14 for a buddy who is struggling financially.
I would have given him 5 more gallons, but I thought at the time the limit was 30 gallons.
