If not for some enticing ibotta deals like Thanksgiving dinner I would almost never shop at Walmart. Anyone else also a Walmart because of ibotta shopper?
It really isn't convenient for me so not a store I go to, especially since Aldi is walking distance and I go there the most. But when there are several good deals and maybe if it will get me a bonus I'll make a trip there. Walmart partnering with ibotta has been effective marketing to get me in their store!
I wasn't a big Walmart shopper until I started using Ibotta regularly. One reason is because many stores in my area are experiencing bare shelves. Walmart has the best selection of the things I normally buy as well as the Ibotta offers. Another reason I started shopping at Walmart is because of pickup. It is much more convenient for me to do my shopping online and then picking it up at the store. I don't have to leave my car for pickup. This is important with a 9 month old with development delays that inhibits him from sitting up in a shopping cart and a 4 year old with autism. Now, shopping is much easier and I don't have to pay someone to watch them so I can shop. Plus, it allows me to meet bonuses before they expire and I am starting to earn more money back from my purchases.
I actually turned more to Wal Mart when the Pandemic started because I needed the curbside pick up option. I had nominally been an Ibotta member since 2018 but rarely remembered to upload receipts until last Thanksgiving. Then Ibotta became a bonus to not being able to shop at my favorite grocery store due to Covid. Things have calmed down a touch and I have been venturing more into stores since this summer but Yes I am shopping at Wal Mart way more due to the Ibotta deals.
The two Walmarts I visit most often are right next to Aldi, and not out of the way.
I shop Walmart for a few go-to items, but lately I like to visit for their awesome clearance finds!
@Cbiscotti I've always shopped at WM. There's a Super WM & Neighborhood WM, about 5 or 6 minutes from my house. It used to be just a monthly run. But as I started using ibotta more, I'd pop in weekly. I find working on bonuses are manageable since WM has the biggest gallery of items. I can hit WM a few times a wk if I need to, especially if it's a needed item that resets.
I'd never grocery shopped at Whole Foods until a few years ago, thanks to Ibotta offers! The only thing I'd ever bought is the Chantilly cake for my husband's birthday, it's his favorite!. Now I probably shop weekly. If possible, I hit Whole Foods, The Fresh Market and Winn Dixie on the same day, since they're on the opposite end of the city for me.
