Ibotta withdraw to Giftcards

Do I always get cash back to my Ibotta account when I withdraw to gift card? I don't see that info. A year ago I withdrew to a $100 Fanatics Gift Card and earned $8 in Ibotta Cash. Thank you in advance!

Withdrawing your earnings to a gift card does not add to a bonus and you don't earn a percentage.

Buying a gift card with your earnings does count towards bonuses and you earn a percentage back

Withdrawing is from the “account” tab

Buying is when you scroll down on the “home” screen
