My Kroger Just Added Belted SCO Lanes

Rickibotta

Love this.

My Meijer used to have these, and I am not sure they still do,   I hate dealing with all the maneuvering around when scanning at SCO, especially when there is no shelf atop the carousel.

The new lane has a rolling belts just like the ones the cashiers use.

Do any of you have these yet?

Does anyone care?

I don't believe I have gone thru a cashier for several years.

Walmart has these next to SCO. That is, when they open them. I don’t understand why they’re not on all the time. Probably because they’re difficult to monitor.

My Kroger affiliate store (Smith’s) has two of them. They are great when you have a larger self check out order.

One of our grand re-opened stores has 2 belted Scots. I have never used them as I usually don't have a ton of groceries.  I guess when I have large heavy items like mega toilet paper pkgs or 12pks of soda, I do start to run out of room. 😄

I don't often get to go to this store either.

I use these all the time. I don't think people realize they are self checkout as there is never a wait. As an added bonus atleast half the time there is someone to bag for me.
