@Rickibotta north Collin County, particularly Celina, Anna and Melissa (they're being forced to graduate from quiet sleepy little burgs), is at varying rates suburbanizing because people are spilling over from Plano, McKinney, Allen, Frisco and maybe other parts of the Metroplex
When I lived in Plano, (Texas Instruments) I believe it had two claims to fame
When I lived in Houston (Exxon Chemical HQ):
Good memories of both places. Really good.
Or whatever the name of it is once they change the name.
@Rickibotta the Klingler brothers (Stratford HS) and Clemens (Spring Woods HS) are Spring Branch (west in town Houston) guys; Jimmy has a son named Cory who is a lineman at Rice after graduating from a Katy ISD HS, probably one of the newer ones
Craig James is also a Stratford HS grad, maybe along with Andrew Luck the most famous, while son Adam lettered in football and graduated from Celina. Incidentally James' Stratford HS team beat Plano in the highest class (4A? 3A?) at the time championship game
Plano is the home of EDS (Educational Data Services), JC Penney (maybe no longer), Frito Lay and either Dr. Pepper or Pepsi (whichever Plano has Waco has the other)
@OBSHOP here are my 4 LI's of Ibotta: Leave It, Lump It, Like It and Love It, applicable to the products per se and the attendant cash back offer requirements.
I've seen a number of deals where the product was appealing but the deal requirement (s) stunk, i.e., buy 2+ to get 1 buckaroo or less, those are more often than not Leave Its
@OBSHOP TX A&M CenTex in Killeen has been around 20+ years
I am a computer consultant, so of course I know EDS. The Spring Creek TI office was close to EDS. HQ. I got a tad lost once going 2 lunch, and was trying 2 turn around in what I discovered was EDS. Couple of guards jumped out at me and I low-key thought they were gonna shoot me.
I also just remembered the HOV lanes, the ummm ...are they frontage roads...the ones that run parallel to the interstates. And most of all I just remembered city-ti-tties. I freaked out the first time I saw those. I think that is their proper name...lol.. For anyone else reading this, Google it. Perhaps you are familiar but I was not.
Oh, and all the people who carried guns. I remember that.
I did not know Andrew Luck went to high school there, and I thought Clemons was from Katy. I live on briar forest between dairy Ashford and ekdridge.
Oh, and it was Electronic Data systems
@Rickibotta Katy is just about next door to Spring Branch. Roger Clemens was born in Dayton before growing up and graduating HS in Houston, and David Klingler was born in Lima near Cincy-Dayton, for all I know ditto Jimmy
Metro Atlanta is loaded with move-ins from the Cincy-Dayton area
My uncle was chief of Trotwood police department. I am still sad thinking how much my colts suffered losing luck. That was our turn.
