For those not aware,  14 of the 16 largest (by capacity) high school gymnasiums in the country are in Indiana.

The largest is the New Castle Fieldhouse with a capacity of 8,424.

None of this counts the Wigwam in Anderson, Indiana that closed in 2011 (capacity 8.996)

Indiana is for basketball what football is to Texas  Travelling to all the gyms in the NCC conference in  basketball in the 80s was insane.    Rabid fans in huge stadiums.
