How do you add teammates?

From what I can find, you can only add people to your team if your are friends on Facebook or possibly through email. There should be a better way to add team members if an Admin keeps starting this feed every month. I don't see any other way.

I got an ibotta account from a while back when they first stated but never really used it. It's been a while but I'm starting to use ibotta again and would love to be apart of a team!
