Hey savvy Savers! Just checking in. We’re so happy to see how helpful and engaging this Community has been for our Savers.

With online communities growing more and more these days, we just knew we had to make one of our own. Not only does it help us get a better sense of how we can improve the app — it also allows us to create posts like this, where we can organize some of our Savers’ most helpful ideas in one place.

So without further ado, here are some of the best deal-hunting strategies that our Community has shared.

Do you buy things that have a deal, whether you need them or not?

  • If it is free or a mm, yes I get it anyway and find someone to give it to. I have tried many new products that way and have found some new favorites.”
    • Janet1964

Do you still use printable coupons?

  • “Always check and see if there are any printable coupons that can be used on items on Ibotta”
    • Mikosmama

Ideas for maximizing bonuses?

  • “I mostly shop on Tuesday and Thursday to stack those bonuses with the monthly bonuses. I also shop stores with rewards programs like Walgreens, Target, and Kroger. I also try to purchase items with earn more bonuses.”
    • OBSHOP

  • “Don't forget to stack with coupons.  I get coupons from the Sunday newspaper. If you don't get the paper, you can print them from many manufacturer sites.  You can also print them from coupons.com.  If you have the coupons.com app, you can submit your receipt towards coupons listed in the app.  Digital coupons are great for places like Walgreens, CVS, Publix and Target.”
    • Mmoore01

  • “I also scan the target app for TC offers or Target gift card offers to try to stack.  When I have time (not lately) - I do the same thing with CVS - check out the Extra Buck offers and app offers.  I try to be sure to load my CVS offers Saturday (at the end of the week), so they roll into the next week. “
    • FelskyNY

How do you organize your offers?

  • “I make a list (yes, pen and paper) starting with all the Ibotta rebates for each store I shop (Walmart, Publix, Walgreens, CVS and Target).  If I see anything that I am interested in trying or something I want, I jot it down. I then fill in my list with items I need.”
    • mmoore01

Where do you look for more deals?

  • “I also check the Ibotta Community and the Krazy Coupon Lady website for deals.  For Publix, I go to thisfamilysaves.com and iheartpublix.com for the deals at this store.”
    • mmoore01

That’s all we’ve got for today. Friendly reminder — these are just a few helpful samples of the many great ways you can maximize your savings! We’re always looking for more advice from our Savers, so don’t hesitate to drop some of your own ideas in the comments below.

Happy hunting!

I pay attention to rebate offers and keep an eye out for clearance products. Coupons and clearance prices are a great way to get Ibotta rebate products for FREE or almost FREE!

Today, I found these RXBar Protein Bars on clearance at Walmart for $1.62. There was a $1.50 cash back rebate from Ibotta making 5 boxes $0.12 each! The Cliff Nut Butter Bars have a $0.75 offer from Ibotta making those $1.85!

Oooh good find! How are these ones? Assuming you've already tried them.

I have noticed a lot of grocery items on clearance at my Walmart.  I am guessing they are getting close to Inventory time and they are clearing out items.  It takes less time to count if you have less to count!

I picked up a Mega Box of Cocoa Puffs for $1.49, two boxes of Dunkaroos for $1.82 each (minus another $1.00/2 coupon) and two boxes of Cascadian Farm Organic Granola for $.98 each (minus a $1.00/2 coupons.com submission), all since the beginning of June.

If your Walmart is about to do Inventory, you may find some great deals, too.

Go shopping with plenty of money, or stay home.

Well, I heard through the grapevine Wal-Mart on Dorchester Rd. is having inventory real soon.

I have a separate notebook that I go and write my weekly deals for each store that I coupon at.

I then search through my apps Ibotta, Fetch, Coupons.com and write those deals down .

I clip my coupons and physically write the item, the actual price, the discount amount and what my final total will be so that I can see before I shop how much I will spend and save to make sure it's the best deal. I then compare stores to see which store will give me the best deal overall . It's my time consuming but once you get into a grove it's very therapeutic lol it's my Saturday night routine now.

I Use the Krazy Coupon Lady app as a rule. There are always Ibotta deals that are MoneyMakers, Meaning you come out ahead and anything over the price of the actual product is credited towards your total order. There are two other apps very similar to the Krazy Coupon Lady, passion for savings and free stuff finder. These apps give you step-by-step instructions on how to get the best deals on certain items every week. They use weekly sales with coupon stacking with rebate apps like Ibotta, fetch and shop kicks to get items for free or even better, a money maker.

@Maryj54: Krazy Coupon Lady (KCL) is an app but it's also possible to access on a browser.
